Cute Baby, Cute Couple and Cute Photos
Family portraits of the Sistine family in The Ricks Gardens at BYU-Idaho.
Russell and Jenny Sistine were such a fun couple to shoot with their baby Lexie. Babies can be tough because they don’t really have control over their facial expressions and they can become fussy in an instant. When they are happy and smiley you just can’t get enough photos!
Douglas Phan, a fellow photographer gave me great feedback on which poses he liked best. I really like the candid shots where the Sistines are laughing and happy.
For the photos with the sun in the background I used a speed light to light up my foreground. My camera settings were at 1/250 sec at F/4.5; ISO 100 and my zoom at 34mm.
Family photo shoots are not always my favorite because it is harder to make multiple people look good in a group as opposed to one single person. Luckily, I was able to get good practice with the Sistine family and try different cute poses.
Butter Studios also has some really good family portraits. I love seeing what other people do and find inspiration.
