Graphic Designer & Photographer

Hello, I’m Lindsey!

Welcome to my website! I love photography and design. I am passionate about being creative and all things lively and fun. Please browse my website to see some of best work.

I grew up in a small town called St. Johns, Arizona. There were 73 kids in my graduating class and our art department was basically non-existent.

I began my college career as an Art Major at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I quickly felt very behind and inexperienced with all of the Art students who came from more prestigious upbringings. I thought that maybe art wasn’t my thing.

I then transferred to the BYU-Idaho campus where the classes were smaller and I felt less like a fish out of water. I ended up choosing to be a Communications Major with an emphasis in Visual Media and it was the perfect fit. I excelled in my classes and was asked to be a TA for several design and photography classes.

Upon graduating in 2015, I was offered an adjunct professor position at the university to teach the basic design class, Visual Media. I absolutely loved teaching on campus! I am passionate about design and it comes out in my teaching.

After several semesters of teaching, I left campus to take a full-time graphic design position with a start-up company called Stukent – an ed tech company. I was the first designer ever hired at Stukent and I was able to redesign much of the company’s branding to be more professional and consistent with the messaging.

HOBBIES:
I love to go running and fishing – not at the same time though.
I enjoy playing sports, hiking and being outside.
I also have a musical side. I play the piano, viola and ukelele. I can bust a move on the dance floor. If I could start life over, I’d be dancer.
