I am loving creating cinemagraphs! I have never edited videos or created animations in Photoshop and it is incredible. I discovered that GIFs are a pain to work with though! They take a while to save and then they take special settings to work. These are the first cinemagraphs I’ve ever made and I would like to explore this style of photography more.
As for camera settings, these are videos rather than images. I used my video setting and I had my zoom at 35mm. I recorded these at sunset and used a reflector to diffuse the light in some images and I used it to create a breeze in others. The top cinemagraph is my favorite. My roommates were all happy to pose for me and we took these in our front yard. There is a lovely brick wall that works for a great backdrop.
