Watercolor Creative
I am not extremely skilled when it comes to hand art (drawing, painting, etc.), but I have always loved painting with water colors. I wish I could say this piece is hand drawn, but it is Photoshopped. I wanted to create a watercolor creative piece.
I had this photo of my roommate and worked to make it look like a hand painted watercolor. Maybe someday I will try to actually create something like this. I used three images in this design. For the photo of my roommate, I used a low aperture of F/1.8 and a 50mm lens to create the blurry background. I then changed my image to black and white and I was able to easily cut my subject out of the background. I used Photoshop to create a watercolor look and I used two stock images to add texture and color to the image. I am happy with how this turned out and it was extremely fun to try making watercolor creative photographs.
My sister does amazing creative watercolor art! Check out Grow Creative to view watercolors and tutorials.
This is beautiful! I love the colors of the watercolor, and the fact that you thought of adding a texture on top of that! It’s an amazing picture!
By the way, here’s Brooke’s awesome creative scan art!
