The Lift restaurant in Jackson Hole, Wyoming is the perfect location to eat gourmet food and have an epic photo excursion. For this shoot I mainly used LED continuous lights and the natural window light. Continuous lighting is great to work with because you can see where the light will fall. Food photography is great because it doesn’t move and I didn’t have to pose my subject. The chefs at The Lift were excellent at styling the food and then it was up to me to use my creativity to get appetizing shots.

I used a Tokina Macro lens with an F-stop of 2.8 for my close up shots because I wanted to get good detail and a sharp focus.  My fellow photographer Douglas Phan, critiqued my work and gave me ideas of how to compose my images.  I lightened up almost all of them and added clarity to the focal areas.  To check out more gourmet food photography check out Costa Rica Food Photography.

Ps. The food at the The Lift, Jackson Hole, Wyoming is amazing! These photos make we want to go back so badly.
