Portraits: Graduating senior girls photography and posing.
It is so fun to get together with other photographers and practice posing and getting good senior portraits. My classmates and I got together and we took graduate senior photos. Here are a few of the photos I captured.
We were out in Victor, Idaho and we had the use of a big barn and the beautiful fields around. I used a 50mm Prime Lens to use a low aperture and get the nice blurry background.
Sierra Dungan
Senior portraits are all about capturing a person and showcasing their personality. With Sierra, we took photos up in the loft of the barn and it worked great because we had a simple background and Einstein lights to get the awesome light.

Brooke Koster
My good friend and fellow photographer, Doug Phan, helped me learn how to add a spotlight effect in Lightroom. I used this technique and most of my photos to add more dramatic lighting to my portraits.
Hilary Hendricks
One flattering way to pose a female, is to have her create her waste. Have her place her hands and smallest part of her waste and slightly press in. Don’t have her press too hard or else it will look weird. Girls are beautiful!
Kelli Marrott
Since Kelli is pregnant, I couldn’t help but to snap a pregnancy photo. She is so cute! I have never take a picture of a pregnant woman and I learned a little bit from the few minutes I had with her. There are definitely wrong and right ways to capture shots of pregnant ladies.
