This week I have been working on sketching ideas for my product redesign and today I began creating a design in Illustrator. For sketches I’ve been mainly sketching pattern ideas. I want the new packaging to look cute and simplified. I also bought some Kleenex boxes / cylinders as an example / inspiration for what I want my new design to look similar to.

Draft:
This a super basic draft that needs a lot of work. I created the flowers myself in Illustrator and they took ages! But I want to make up at least three different designs and get opinions. This design is similar to the current design and then I’ll make a couple that are totally different.
Timeline:
3 Nov – Sketch layout design and logo design
7. Nov – Design created in Illustrator
9 Nov – Label design critiqued and refined
11 Nov – Packaging design completed
14 Nov – Create the product with new box design
18 Nov – Product photography
19 Nov – Ad created & book layout started
21 Nov – Book layout complete & printed
24 Nov – Final product all designed and ready to go
30 Nov – Video Presentation and final blog post.
