American v. England Wordage

I’ve decided to change the subject of my info graphic.  I served a mission for the LDS church in the England Birmingham Mission back in 2012-2013.  People ask me all the time if I picked up an accent during my 18 months there.  Sadly, I did not.  I did come home speaking with the words British people use.  I often had moments when I couldn’t remember which word was English or American.  I was continually teased for my British twang.

Sketches

I thought it would be cool to create an info graphic that had the British v. American terms for different words. I made a list of all the words I used when I was in England as well as looked up other popular words on Google. I’ve been sketching icons as well as layouts for my info graphic.  I now have a pretty good idea of what I want my design to look like.

Color Scheme

As for color scheme, I am leaning towards a blue, red, and yellow triadic color scheme. I went to Design Seed to look for different color schemes.  I love Design Seeds because they put together pleasing color schemes with images. I’m all about visuals, so I like the images. I created a Pinterest board where I put my favorite color schemes.
